Lower Level in Training (part 1)

I've recently been working on my lower level. The Spirit Apprentice's Apprentice. She's a Balance level 18. I've been bashing crystal spiders with her while teaming with my friend Allison Daygem. I help Allison with DS and she helps me wih KT.

She's in the Crystal Grove, and I'm in the Hall of Champions (difference?). So we're kind of improvising on how to do it. Luckily I haven't died once in the process, so we know its working! Lol.

Armed for Battle!

The Spirit Keeper is finally armed for battle, clothed entirely in Commander PvP Arena Gear and sporting the Cerulean Edge.
As for the choice in color, well all I can say is: New York Mets.

The Spirit Guardian: Lord Bentley

The Spirit Keep has welcomed a new addition to their team: Lord Bentley!
Lord Bentley isn't a wizard. He is a fully licensed, top notch, Life Minotaur.
Lord Bentley and I met at Helgrind Warren in Nidavellir. He was being tortured by the Broomwood Tormenter, but I soon put an end to that. In gratitude for releasing him, Lord Bentley has accepted the invitation to The Spirit Keep.
Lord Bentley is well on his way to becoming an Epic pet. Having hatched this morning, Lord Bentley has been very busy training at the Cannon Game in the Pet Pavilion. As of now, he's a a full fledged teenager. He will have to keep at it if he wishes to fulfill his responsibilities as The Spirit Guardian.
That's all for now! See you in the Spiral!

Spirit PvP

The Spirit Keeper, Malorn, and I were up for a little PvP this morning.
Even though I am horrible at PvP, the others were a real help. Malorn a PvP warlord and Benjamin, a Knight(Commander now), were a real help. We went against a fine team of 3.
This was a Helephant that surprisingly hit about 3,000. Thats good enough for me, lol.
Next is Malorn on his final Judgement which defeated their last.
Lastly was just a nice picture I caught of Ben's Satyr. Good times... good times...

Spirit Squad Kicks Butt In HD

I've finally finished all the main quests at Grizzleheim. The GH storyline ended with an epic battle between the evil Ravens and "The Spirit Squad"! Yesterday the Spirit Squad consisted of Malorn WillowSmith(The Sorcerer of the Spiral), Amber Rosepetal(A Savior of the Spiral), Jason Storm, and me. I put together a quick video of The Spirit Squad kicking butt! Check out this piece of cinematic genius(Watch in HD):

Last of the T-Shirt Designs: Fire /T-Shirt Deign Poll

This is my last T-Shirt design. I think it is the second best design(after Life) that I made. The design resembles a bal of fire which I have to admit looks pretty sick(good sick, not bad sick). Tell me what you think: likes, dislikes, comments. I'll also be holding a poll, for best T-Shirt Design. So make sure you vote for your favorite Shirt in the sidebar to the right>.
You can find all the T-Shirt designs with the individual Logos on my W101 Central page here.

More T-Shirt Designs: Balance

In the spirit of suspense, I will reveal each of my designs one at a time.
Of course, I claim copyright on all designs. If you want to use the designs for anything whatsoever, ask me beforehand. If you would like the designs themselves(not on a shirt) for any purpose, also ask me beforehand(I can supply you with an original).
I'll be posting the designs in preference order(so from ok-best designs). As I mentioned in a previous post, I thought my Life Shirt was my best, so I won't post that one again.

The Spiral 2.0

It has begun! With the release of the pre-Celestia quests, The Spiral has (un)officially entered its 2nd generation. What do I mean by 2nd generation?
Well, the 1st generation of Wizard101 was the storyline that led us through all of Wizard City, Krokotopia, Grizzleheim, Marleybone, Mooshu, and Dragonspyre. We trained our wizards and perfected our spells and valiantly defeated Malistaire. As Grandmasters, we searched the Spiral for the best gear and tested our mettle against the deception of Briskbreeze Tower. And all seemed calm throughout the Spiral. But a new threat has emerged, spurned not by love but by thirst for power. From the farthest reaches of the Spiral, whispers name this threat as...Morganthe, Queen of the Shadow Web. Take up arms fellow wizards, for the Empire of the Shadow Web will stop at nothing in its attempt to possess all the Spiral's magic, starting with the Lost Magic of Celestia. With the discovery of Celestia, the 2nd generation of wizards, worlds, creatures, blogs, and podcasts has begun!

My Wizard101 Wedding

Well, welcome back! Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but my computer was being stubborn.

So way back in April, I decided that I wanted to have a Wizard101 wedding. Why, you may ask? Well, I had bought a Life House a few months before and was having a blast hosting parties, mount races, and such(I'll post info/pics of my homes soon, so stay tuned!). However, I couldn't think of what to do with the gazebo. I already had a party themed room inside, with balloons, a piano, punchbowl, and a root beer bar. So finally I decided to turn my gazebo into a chapel.

Now Shelby Rose and I met during the summer of 2008. I don't remember the exact details of our first encounter, but I do remember that I had offered to join her questing in Wizard City. After a while we became very good friends. So during April of this year I decided to propose to her, and she accepted. We planned to have the wedding during our Easter break. Tragically, my duties outside the Spiral, both at my 'Muggle' school and at home, what with college applications coming due, our Wedding Day had to be postponed. Luckily, summer finally came and one sweltering summer day, we decided to have our Wedding Day right there and then. Although you couldn't all join us that day, we do have our Wedding Video to share. The songs I used are displayed in the video at the end, around 6:10. For convenience here they are, in the order they are played in the video: "The Wedding March" by Mendelsohn(editted), "Caribbean Blue" by Enya(editted), and "Closing Time" by Semisonic.
Hope you enjoy the video and Thanks again for reading!
Tune in next time for: The Spiral 2.0(Celestia and Beyond)!

Late News: Best Little Dorm Entry

I know the deadline for entries to the Best Little Dorm in Wizard City Contest has passed and the judges are in the midst of choosing potential winners. But since I did spend some time decorating my dorm for the contest and I'm sure I have a pretty good chance of winning in at least one of the categories(fingers crossed), I think it deserves its own blog post.

For those of you who don't know, the contest is looking for those wizards and witches, who can best decorate their dorm rooms in a Celestia theme.

At first I was going to decorate my dorm in a half submarine/underwater theme. However, when I was done, there was just a lot of stuff everywhere and I can honestly say it wasn't pleasing to look at. I don't know what it is about messy rooms but I hate seeing dorms, and homes where stuff is just all over the place. For me order and simplicity are a priority. And so I gutted the dorm and started from scratch. After a few hours of moving furniture around, and exploiting my skill for defying Newton's Law of Gravity I came up with this:

Tell me what you think in a comment either below or on Youtube, either will do.

Naming Your Blog

Welcome back!
Now, the hardest part, I think, about making a blog is naming it. Any name won't do; it has to be memorable, catchy, and simple(for our younger viewers). And so begun my quest to find a name for my blog. The Sanctuary, Theurgists United, Magic Mayhem, Legends Well, Spirit Well, Spirit Cove, Spirit Keep...The Spirit Keep!
Why "The Spirit Keep"?
Well apart from the trial and error of trying to find a name that was available, I wanted a name that was easy to remember but also clever. Why clever? Well why not? Here's two names for example: The Friendly Necromancer's a clever name, cause whose ever heard of a Necromancer, evil shady figures known for their vile practices including resurrecting the dead in all their decay and rotting splendor, being friendly! And Eternally Green's also a clever name, emphasizing Natalie's school spirit and devotion to the verdant arts. Clever blog names are the most memorable, like the Mythspent Youth or Modern Auto Magic. Like Natalie, I wanted to show my school spirit, so representing the Life school somehow was a must. And as I racked my brain and looked through my deck, I thought Spirit Blades and Traps are a combination of life, myth, and death, so Spirit something. I also wanted my blog to be like a magical place i.e. a sanctuary, cove, well, haven...but as I was thinking of which place to use, this caught my eye:
I had a quest to do at Mirkholm Keep. But what was a keep? A keep, in reality, is the strong central tower of a castle used as a dungeon or fortress where all the treasure and essentials are kept i.e. a keep. Here's a picture:
That was perfect! So The Spirit Keep, where the entire Spiral's magic and secrets are kept. And I would be the Spirit Keeper! Not a goalkeeper but a keeper similar to The Keeper from Legend of the Seeker, but alive and benevolent and keeper of blog posts instead of souls.
That about wraps it up: Follow the links above if you haven't already, and leave your comments and thoughts about my blog's name, The Spirit Keep. Thanks for reading!

Greetings!

Welcome to the Spirit Keep!
My name is Benjamin Fairydust and I'm a Grandmaster Theurgist as well as a Full-time Student.
Why start a blog?
Well I love playing Wizard101 and after playing it for two years, I've decided that its about time I started blogging. I've followed the Friendly Necromancer's blog for a while now and he makes it look easy. I also have a friend, Natalie Crowshard, who recently moved her blog, Eternally Green, from WordPress to BlogSpot. With so many wizards entering the Blogosphere, I thought I might as well make myself known.
What will I talk about?
Just about anything and everything W101 related, and more. I'll be sharing my thoughts, critiques, and advice. I'd be glad to answer to the best of my ability any questions about the game that you might have.
I think that's enough info for my first post. Check out the links above if you haven't already, and tune in for my next post: Naming Your Blog
